in good vintage condition

snug closure and easy hinge

it's not your imagination — the gold plating is extremely inconsistent much heavier toward the bottom of the locket. who knows how this misadventure happened, but it means that the locket has a variety of hues. polishing hasn't improved the situation much, so what you see is what you get. price reflects the inconsistent plating.
